Christoph Sorg ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. In seiner Promotion forschte er zu Widerstand gegen Schulden und verband dabei politische Ökonomie und soziale Bewegungsforschung. Seither setzt er sich weniger mit den Protestformen von sozialen Bewegungen und mehr mit ihren Utopien auseinander. Speziell forscht er dabei zu Theorien des Kapitalismus und Post-Kapitalismus und zur neuen Debatte um Wirtschaftsplanung in Zeiten von Digitalisierung und Klimakrise. In einem DFG Projekt zu diesem Thema theoretisiert er die Möglichkeiten wirtschaftlicher Planung in Marktwirtschaften.
