Die Transformation globaler Gemeinschaftsgüter und die Zukunft planetarer Ökosysteme.
Projektbeschreibung
Das Projekt analysiert Eigentumsrechte und Eigentumsordnungen von natürlichen Ressourcen globaler Gemeinschaftsgüter. Anhand der zwei Domänen Ozeane und Atmosphäre wird die Evolution und die Struktur der Eigentumsordnungen untersucht und der Frage nachgegangen, welche Arten von Eigentumsordnungen sie repräsentieren. Das Forschungsziel ist eine kritische Analyse der Eigentumsordnungen, inwiefern sie dazu geeignet sind, akute Herausforderungen wie den Klimawandel, Biodiversitätsverlust
und die Erschöpfung globaler Ökosysteme zu bewältigen und dabei distributiven und ökologischen Ansprüchen gegenüber den Naturressourcen gerecht zu werden. Das Projekt beschäftigt sich auch mit den Möglichkeiten und Implikationen einer neu formulierten Konzeption globaler Gemeinschaftsgüter als Ressourcendomänen, die sowohl innerhalb als auch außerhalb staatlicher Grenzen liegen.
