Eirini Skrimizea is Assistant Professor in Sustainable Development and Natural Resources at the Department of Geography, Harokopio University of Athens (Greece). Trained in surveying engineering, spatial planning and environmental social sciences, she examines socio-environmental governance and how issues of justice, vulnerability and knowledge pluralism are addressed in the management of natural resources under conditions of environmental change. Grounded in social-ecological systems research and socio-spatial perspectives, her work focuses on water, forests, agri-food systems and conservation landscapes. Her research is developed through interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaborations and draws on case studies from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.
