Kim Lucht completed her bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology, as well as her master's degree in sociology at the FSU-Jena. She is currently working on her dissertation on the connection between the climate movement and labor unions. In the context of her master's thesis, she dealt with the relationship between capitalism and reproduction. Since April 2020 she is a research assistant at the Department of Sociology of Labor, Industry, and Economics. Until her graduation, she worked at Klaus Dörre's department as a research assistant since 2017 and became part of the steering group of the Project Class Analysis Jena (PKJ) in 2018. Her main research interests are class theory, analysis of capitalism, socio-ecological transformation, and women's and gender studies.
