Lena Ebersbach graduated from Friedrich Schiller University Jena with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology (and a minor in Psychology) and a Master's degree in Sociology. Her academic focus lies on transformation processes in human-nature and gender relations in modern societies, issues of sustainability, and methods of qualitative social research. In her master's thesis, she explored the relationship between ignorance (Nichtwissen) and expertise and the significance of different experts in the context of organic farming. She has been part of the SFB since 2022 as a student assistant and has been employed as a research assistant in subproject C03 “Energy Transition as a Property Transition?” since July 2025. Following on from the results of the first funding phase, she is analyzing a country comparison between Germany, Portugal, and the United Kingdom to explore questions about the cultural, political, and regulatory framework conditions for wind energy expansion and the energy transition regarding related issues of property.
