About our series
Once a month during the semester, our series brings the debate on property issues to the big screen. We show a filmic treatment of conflicts over property, current dynamics of change and possible alternatives. A member of our Collaborative Research Center will give a brief introduction to the film at the beginning of the evening and shed light on the connections between the film and our property research. The film will be followed by a discussion with anyone from the audience who is interested. The films are usually shown in the original language with subtitles.
About the movie
When Tyler Durden, an eccentric soap maker, enters the narrator’s chaotic life, everything changes for him. Together, they found a secret fight club. In a short time, it attracts a large following of men and grows steadily. When this evolves into "Project Chaos", led by Tyler, the group becomes politicized and its actions take an increasingly drastic stance against capitalism.
