Library

The New Library of Property (NBE) offers two main functions for a broad range of users, including those outside the university (e.g., NGOs, interested members of the public, representatives of the press): firstly, a comprehensive, searchable database with relevant primary and secondary texts on the subject of property and the publications of the SFB, and secondly, a public platform on which the research results of the SFB projects are made available. In order to familiarize the interested public with central questions and issues in property research, a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and cross-epochal bibliography has been compiled. At the heart of the database are introductory expert commentaries by SFB members, which contextualize the selected sources and make challenging, older classical texts accessible to a broader readership.

In order to be able to intervene more specifically in social debates, thematically relevant dossiers are regularly made available, which include contributions from the SFB (blog posts, podcast episodes, etc.) as well as scientific, civil society, and media sources, all clearly presented.

Our section Quarterly Sources offers an insight into our projects and the thematic and material diversity of their research.
