Luzie Gerstenhöfer absolvierte ihr Bachelor Studium in Soziologie und Humangeographie und den Soziologie Master mit den Schwerpunkten sozial-ökologische Transformation und Wirtschaft, Arbeit, Wohlfahrt an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena. Seit 2021 arbeitete sie als studentische Assistentin im SFB Teilprojekt C04 „Auseinandersetzungen um das Öffentliche und die Zukunft der Commons. Eigentumsverhältnisse im Kontext wohlfahrtsstaatlicher Transformation“ und beendete ihr Studium 2022 mit einer Falluntersuchung der Auseinandersetzungen um die Eigentumsform der Wasserinfrastrukturen in Barcelona im Kontext neuer munizipalistischer Ansätze. Derzeit ist sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in benanntem Teilprojekt tätig.
