Norbert Frei is Senior Professor for Modern and Contemporary History at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena and Principal Investigator of the Collaborative Research Centre’s Team working on “Order and property: Stabilisation strategies in twentieth-century Germany.” He also leads the Jena Center of 20th Century History and since 2011 he is full member of the “Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Leipzig.” His research interests include history and post-history of the Third Reich, Holocaust memory, human rights history and 20th century media history.
