Pauline Stockmann

Pauline Stockmann holds a BA in Political and Economic Sciences from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and an MA in Political Sciences from the University of Leipzig. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the German Youth Institute, contributing to the assessment of the federal programme “Demokratie leben!”. She also gained professional experience in ministerial and parliamentary environments.

Her research focuses on democracy and elite studies, social inequality, and intersectional approaches to political representation. Since June 2025, she has been a research associate at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, working in the Subproject B04 “Economic Property and Political (In-)Equality” within the Collaborative Research Centre “Structural Change of Property”. In her dissertation, she investigates how political elites and social backgrounds shape access to political representation.
